Ridgecrest Towing and Repair

We left out for our winter season, heading south for the winter to work with hurricane clean up. We had only been on the road about an hour into our journey, when our tow vehicle was running hot. Antifreeze was blowing out all over the fan, so we couldn’t tell where it was coming from. It’s not very many people who are mobile repair units and there are a lot of wrecker services who are not equipped to deal with vehicles who tow their homes with them. We had made so many calls, we forgot whether or not we mentioned our rv to these people. When they showed up with the smaller wrecker, we realized we hadn’t told them. But, the wrecker guy was very understanding and stayed with us while the truck cooled down and followed us with his lights on and told us to stop as much as we needed to and he would stop with us. We made it without issue to their shop only 4 miles up the road. While we were there waiting on someone at the busy shop (it’s a AAA service shop, but they accept other roadside plans too), they told us to come in and be comfortable in their roomy waiting area and we are allowed to bring our RV cat Sam in with us. It turned out to be just an upper radiator hose, but if it had been a part they had to order overnight, they would have allowed us to camp there overnight in our RV. They were very professional, reasonable in their price, and courteous. They were professional and knew exactly how to diagnose our issues. They got to us as soon as they could and appologized often for our wait. We highly recommend them if you need any vehicle service if you are in the Franklin, NC area.

  1. Sorry to hear you had problems, but sounds like you got the right solution & company! 40*, windy & snow flurries today, supposed to be 27* tonight with continued snow flurries! Dory & I are hunkered down, Terry working on moving stuff, smoking a chicken & planking wood for the cradle!
